Happiest Father’s Day to all the fathers out there.  Those of you who have natural children born to you, and those of you who have lovingly adopted children.  And Happy Father’s Day also to the foster fathers who help when help is desperately needed and Happy Father’s day to you single Mom’s who are trying to do both for your boy children and the girls.  God Bless you all.
I am a testament to what a determined and loving Dad can do because I was reared by my father.  He was a single Dad when that wasn’t much heard of.  We lost him in his late 70’s and I miss and love him still— just as much as I did when he passed away and left us three kids to make do on our own.
We took on his standards and ultimately, we three wound up rearing our children with his standards.  Those standards have taken a big hit in the past 30 years.  They would be called too restrictive but I have three college graduates with successful careers and I didn’t do too badly myself.  Thank you Daddy for loving us, and for imbuing us with the same  standards and the same mode of living as you yourself were  reared.  You did good.  I’m glad you knew how very much we three loved you.  I’ll see you one day by and by.  Till then…
