I thought to take a photo of these buds on a tree. A Bradford Pear I believe. As always, click on the photo to see it without the blue gray blog background.
Just beautiful! Many of our trees have the knots just aching to bud, and when the sun comes out they get a bit bigger in size. I get concerned they will bud too soon and they have a cold spell knock them out.
I look at this then look out my window and see snow, sigh. From a backseat driver\’s perspective I would try cropping it so the left blossom is in the lower left corner, getting rid of blurry crotch and trunk.
Keep back seat drivering, Steve. I liked the blur in this case, for the sort of 3D effect I got with the blossoms in focus. However..point taken. Back to the drawing board.
I love the contrast of the rough, weathered bark aginst the dainty, fragile beauty of the buds. I hope that the pear trees I am planting this year will someday be this beautiful.
OURs wont be that way for awhile yet..probably mid april or may.. That is just wonderful.. makes me hope for spring.. The birds were in my birdbath today for the first time! YAY! : )
So beautiuful. You are getting to be quite an expert.

So beautiful…do they have any fragrance? It\’s such a gorgeous picture, I think I can almost smell them.
Isn\’t the whole tree in bloom? The Bradford pears here have been in bloom for 2 weeks! This would be a good picture to frame.
I just wanted a little bit..not the whole tree.
