Naturally when I don’t have my camera, what happens? A camera worthy experience happens. Dang..I was on my way to the grocery store having just rolled out of the drive way when an EIGHT POINTER deer came walking along side of my car for a minute. I stopped on the other side of my street and watched him as he slowly made his way down the sidewalk to the next street. Eight pointer mind you..not six..eight I tell you! I had several minutes with him in camera range if ONLY I HAD THE DUMB THING!!!!!!!!! I could have had a video,,but Nooooo…I left my camera at home. I am the one who keeps nagging you all to take your camera with you! And, except today, I do. But..I allowed myself out without it and the buck showed up to taunt me.
Poor Miss Catt is literally skin and bones (not) and utterly exhausted (yes) with all this mouse hunting. The poor dear was up ALL night long and also stayed in place all DAY long until about 1600 when she hit my bed like a sack of beans and fell deeply asleep. I know it was deeply because I kissed that furry cheek 10 times at least and even petted the pretty sides. No sign she knew I was there except she tucked in tighter. She slept till 2000!!!!!!!! She’s up and in place again. My trap is empty and so the loud skirmishes will still be taking place in there. The wood floor is so smooth and shiny that as she ran after the mouse several times in there she skidded across the floor. I apologised to her because I know it threw her off. (literally)
I have the least expensive TomTom GPS system. I used the oldest’s TomTom GPS for fun to see what it would say as I labored over the Mountains to the middle son’s place. It was good. It did try to have me go what to me is a long way round to take the oldest to his place. But it got me there, I could have just gone the "right" way but I wanted to see where it would take me. It did the job.
Someone come over here and get these advertisement-like pictures that Sony put on my digital frame, off? Torques my jaw.
OK. Been a while since I did a double blog in one day. Hope you all who saw it liked my grandson in his video a day or so ago. Just said that in closing and as a hint to go look at it if you haven’t. He’s looking and hoping you did.
Nothing on TV so I will continue reading. Almost finished with Consumer Reports.
OH! Want to see my first elephant sized cell phone? A Nokia released 15 years ago. (I wrote and asked) I found it under the bed in a bin two days ago.
I know that feeling well, the one morning I decided to put my camera in the trunk instead of up front with me and I find a Grizzly Bear out in the open just standing for a portrait. Hate when that happens ad I feel your pain.
Love ya,
Al
My first cell phone was a huge one like that. Now they are so tiny they can get lost in your purse.
I imagine the deer was quite a handsom sight. I hope he got safely to wherever he was going.
You didn\’t have your camera? Awe gees Louise too bad eh? I went to see the video. Pretty cool. It wasn\’t there before was it? I\’m sure it wasn\’t. Insert Twilight Zone music. Now take a video of the skirmish across the shiny floor. Lol. Have a good night sleep even though Ms. Catt will probably stand guard to protect you from the savage mouse!
Isn\’t that the most frustrating thing? Those kodak moments come and go in a flash. Maybe next time.
Poor Miss Catt, she\’s so exahusted from doing all she can to keep you safe. I hope she gets a good night\’s sleep poor girl.
Yes I saw you\’re handsome grandson\’s video. He\’s darn good on that skateboard. My grandson Josh just said that he\’s tried to do what he did and could never do it.
Have a great Tuesday
Hugs
Sherry
OH NOooooo I hate that.. my camera would not open fast enough and the deer ran right in front of our car. Ticked me off no end.. as for the phone. Mine looooked so similar to that one.. I got rid of it when it quit working.. darn battery went dead and they would not replace it.. I cant believe they are so small now still.. pretty soon we will get them so little they will be undetectable. : )
LOL! I wasn\’t sure if that first monster was even a phone! My goodness it looks like something off an old \’50s sci-fi movie! You\’re right about the camera…it\’s like washing a car will surely bring rain…not having your camera will open up the world to show many things that should be on film…go figure…murphy\’s law remains intact!
Sorry you missed getting the deer picture. I need to take mine with me but forget , it\’s so new. Looked like grandson was teaching someone \’how to\’ ride the scateboard. Poor Kassey hasn\’t had a mouse since being with me. My first cell phone was in a bag, then got one like yours, glad they\’re small, except for misdialing on such a small keypad. LOL
an 8 pointer how cool! Tell Miss Catt not to wear herself out she will get that dasterdly mouse soon! Ok going to watch the video now!
Danielle
Poor Miss Catt\’s it must be worn out herself but she has a good night sleep that I\’m glad hear that.
My first cell phone was back to 1997 just likes a brick and stayed in the car? I don\’t remember carry it?
And a bad reception,if you going to coutry side at behind the hill then you can used (no signal).
I loved an old life styles but I would prefer todays world. Big Smile!
XoOx
Sure hope Miss Catt catches that mouse soon or she\’ll waste away to nothing. Good looking boy you got there grandma. My first cell phone was one of the big brick like things we got for me when I was working alone at night in the school. Sat nicely on the cleaning cart, lol.
Terry
I forgot. Now we know where the deer are hiding, lol.
Too bad about the deer. I need to carry my camera more too.
Poor Miss Catt, her work is never done. lol
I had a brick phone once. Those were the days. I like the lighter-weight smaller phones they have now, but don\’t want all the extras. Who really wants to surf the net on these things? Not me.
Saw your grandson\’s video with the skateboard. My son, M, is twelve and loves his rip-stick, which is a spin-off (no pun intended) of the skateboard, only safer! I\’ll have to try to post some of his antics on his rip-stick some time. Hope Miss Catt has luck with that mouse. My Kit-Kit instantly starts purring when I touch her sleeping! But the little snot, Caruso, turns and tries to bite me when I disturb his slumber…what a brat.
So you missed your Kodak Moment? Only teasing. I do the same darn thing. It seems like the days I do take it nothing and the days I leave it at home, the whole world is crazy and me no camera!!! Sucks to be sometimes. Hope Miss Catt gets that mouse soon. Take care, Hugs, Pat
Looks like that new cell phone has a camera – maybe? Sometimes I wish for my camera then realize I have one all along. We had firemen here a month or so ago with fire alarms going off. I was in such a hurry to get lil dog out I forgot the camera. DARN!
I can just see Miss Catt waitin for that mouse. Lil dog used to catch them all the time at my house. Maybe he is the Christmas mouse? Either way don\’t want them critters in the house.
Take care
wow!
funny i got a new cell pone too…and i have Bluetooth so i can drive and talk a lot safer…lol…
missing you!
Wow!!! Eight-Pointer!!!
"I hate those meeeces to pieces."
Do you remember \’Snagglepuss\’ cartoons???
Stay warm and travels safe…Greg
“Exit stage right…Time to visit Quick Draw McGraw.”
OMG I remember those huge cell phones! We use to carry one just like it too. lol. An EIGHT poiter and no camera?? WHAT was you thinking?? Ugh, don\’t you just hate it when that happens … My camera is usually glued to my body but once in a while I\’ll walk off without it too … never fails that something camera worthy happens on those very rare moments. We don\’t have any mice here yet but I know it\’s just a matter of time. Our cats aren\’t even a year old yet and we don\’t know if they\’ll be good indoor mousers or not. Guess time will tell.
Ok, off to go see whatever video you were talking about. 🙂
Funny!!! O.K. first give poor miss cat a hand will ya!? Put some rugs down for a bit till she catches that darn thing!! tee hee and lots of hunters claim to see the big one just as you have… no photos or antlers from them either… hmmmm…. tee hee ha ha …. About that phone… funny thing is my Aunt still uses hers like that. It\’s starting not to work so well now that everything is going to digital. It only runs on analog. We call it the Football. tee hee ha ha
take care and go get em miss cat.
ttfn
You should make a video of a day in the life of Miss Catt.
I once saw some road kill deer, and then when I drove back by, a beautiful huge Eagle was eating it! I wished I had my camera and I got it at home and came back but the road kill and Eagle were gone. \\
That phone is huge! Ha ha! I\’ve seen old movies where they are talking on those and it looks hilarious.
Warm hug Frana
horray I found you!!! I was /am SO lost now with all the changes!
You have a collectors item…hold onto that…lol. 😀
p.s.I loved reading about Miss Catt showind due diligence. I would have kissed her as well…sweet girl.
